Special Olympics Southern California – A Mission That Inspires and Connects
Funds raised through the Dream Big Raffle provide life-changing opportunities for SOSC athletes, including free year-round sports and programs, such as health screenings through Special Olympics Healthy Athletes ®, Athlete Leadership programs, inclusion programs through Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools ® and Special Olympics Unified Sports® initiatives, which bring together individuals with and without intellectual disabilities to compete on the same team.
Proceeds from the Dream Big Raffle help ensure that essential wellness and support programs remain accessible to the community, especially in challenging times. One such program, Power Up: Train Like a Champion, is available online for free, providing a valuable resource for the Special Olympics community and beyond. This inclusive and engaging virtual program offers structured fitness training that can be done at home, helping participants of all abilities build physical strength, establish routines, and stay connected. By making Power Up widely accessible, SOSC hopes to provide a positive outlet for individuals looking to regain stability, maintain their well-being, and find encouragement in a supportive community.
